Facial Rejuvenation

One of the most frequent questions that is asked by patients concerns facial rejuvenation. This is especially appropriate as the baby boomer generation reaches middle to late middle age. There are many tools available that we can use, most of which are simple office procedures. The number one tool is the regular use of sunscreens. This alone will add years to the life of your skin. Next is the use of products such as Retin-A or glycolic acid, which can be applied at home and can be incorporated into a program of peels done in the office. As we move on, the next major innovation has been the use of Botox. This product which is injected painlessly in the office can eliminate facial creases, worry lines, and crow's feet. In addition we have the use of fillers such as Juvederm and Radiesse which can fill out creases and folds and add volume to the face.

For treatment of those annoying brown spots on the face and hands, and the little veins on the face, we have a laser that will destroy these areas in a quick, relatively painless office procedure. Full face laser rejuvenation can also be done over three to four treatments. Simple freezing, or cryo-therapy, can also be used to eliminate unsightly spots on the face and hands. Electric needle therapy can be used to treat whiteheads, cysts, and blocked pores.
